The Wolf of Country Music...
It's been over two decades since Donald Benjamin first emerged on the music scene. From the beginning, the multiple award- winning songwriter and former 102.5 WIOG Mid- Michigan Idol semi- finalist, shattered all expectations with his 2002 debut, "Destination Unknown." Its title track reached international radio, debuting on FOXSports Radio's "JT the Brick Show," garnering him immediate status as an up-and-coming songwriting talent.
After a rigorous solo touring schedule, from 2002-2012, culminating with several awards, and Sevox Radio naming his demo for the song "Used To" their 2012 "Song of the Year," he went on to further success, sharing the stage with names such as Joe Diffie, Tracii Guns (L.A. Guns/Guns'n'Roses), Chase Rice, Ryan Hurd, LANco and others.
Now, a proud member of the Country Music Association (CMA), the 22x award-winning songwriter/performer, and the man AMB Magazine called "one of country music's future leading men," is touring, nationally, with his stellar band, while promoting the current radio single, "Moving Mountains." As of August 17, 2020, the track hit #1 on Florida Country Radio and garnered him both the 2020 World Songwriting Award for "Best Traditional Country Song" and Florida Country Radio's 2020 "Best New Male Artist." Donald, and his group, also took home Great Lakes Bay Magazine's 2020 "Greatest Band of the Great Lakes" as well as "Greatest Singer of the Great Lakes," as voted by their readership.
